Autumn got me by surprise, hence another small break in publications schedule. Nevertheless, here I am, and new article will be dedicated to new Benrus DTU-2A/P. This watch comes as reissue of the military watch produced in 60’s. Manufacturer promises us reliable tool-styling together with excellent quality, so I decided to take a closer look in this article. It should be noted that new release is not a Limited Edition, so you should be able to get it even before Christmas. We will talk about availability a bit more later in the article, now let’s take a look at watch.

Dial
First of all I have to remind you that we are dealing with military watch here. Such timepieces are always demanding to the dial design, and today’s release is not an exclusion from such rule. Take a careful look, and you will see that there are no extra writings, logos or any other unnecessary things. Such layout is easy to read from the first sight. Moreover, there is a Superluminova on hands and digits, so I think you won’t have any issues in dark.
Case
Case design is also simple here. Don’t search for any unusual cues or other design features. We get bead-blasted part which should be durable in everyday use. Benrus DTU-2A/P measures 39.5mm, so it should look ok even on the thin wrists. Note that back cover is metal here and features special engraving.
Inside you will find Selita SW200. This is a well-known automatic caliber, so you shouldn’t have any problems with it. Power reserve is clocked at 38 hours.
Benrus DTU-2A/P – Price and Availability
New watch should be available immediately from now on. Price tag will be set at 595USD, and this is quite tricky price area where you will find a lot of rivals. I would recommend to check the possible options, because even Bulova Hack Watch might catch you with its design. Moreover, I wrote that new Benrus watch is not a Limited Edition, but considering current supply situation it is better to get one when you can. 🙂
Other than that I can conclude that we get yet another “clean” military timepiece which would be great for everyday use. Moreover, Benrus DTU-2A/P might be a good chance to have something different on your wrist.
