Today’s watch might look familiar to you. MB&F Legacy Machine Thunderdome comes as the latest novelty from the famous Swiss brand. Its design looks similar to Flying T watch from the same watchmaker. Nevertheless, here we get even more impressive creation. Of course, it features cool name because there is no other way for MB&F. Let’s take a closer look.
Here you can read about another watch from MB&F.

First of all I would like to say that it was a matter of time until we see this watch. Flying T came on Baselworld and looked amazing, but it was women’s watch. When I asked if there will be a “maculine” version MB&F guys just smiled and looked to the side. Well, now we know why – Thunderdome comes as bigger brother of the Flying T.
Case grown to 44mm, but I guess it won’t be an issue for future owner. Dial layout here is similar to what we saw in the smaller watch. Main role is taken by multi-axis mechanism which is held in place by special angled arch. New watch comes as the child of two famous watchmakers – Eric Coudray and Kari Voutilainen. The latter’s influence can be seen on the dial finish and rear “layout”. New watch is the most clean-looking advanced model on the market.
You won’t be trying to understand what time is and then trying to guess where are the parts of the movement. No, here small watchface always looks at you and TriAx sits right in the centre. Watch the video above – it is truly hypnotic action and I still can’t believe Thunderdome will be stored away in personal collections. By the way, all those things come enclosed in glass dome. Forget about sleeves – this watch is meant to be on visible spot.
MB&F Legacy Machine Thunderdome – Price
Ok, this section is kinda weird in connection with today’s watch. Price tag features nice 280000 EUR writing printed on it. Yes, this is not your daily choice, but I think this watch will be sold out quick. You won’t see it in flesh, maybe the only chance will be the next year Baselworld. I am happy to write about such unusual watches. MB&F once again shown us that there is no limit, you just have to use imagination. Let’s hope that Thunderdome would be on Basel expo and we will check it closer to share more info with you. 😉
