Today’s article is dedicated not to chrono or toolwatch, but to the new Sinn 1736 St I 4N, which will surprise you with its simple and elegant design. It was presented on Baselworld 2017, and we’ve had a chance to check it closer, so now we are sharing out impressions here.

On the photos and video you can see that main idea behind this watch was to keep it as simple as it is possible with watch. Moreover, German manufacturer decided to use trendy combination of gold and silver on the black, which look great. Case here is made out of polished stainless steel, and it’s almost mirror-like, what is completely different from classic matte finish on “serious” Sinn watches. Note that there are no extra complications or even date window – just clean dial with marks because numbers would not look right in this image. By the way, it’s not a plain white, there is also sunbirst finish, which is easy to see in the video. The only special thing that will be noticed by owner – transparent back, which exposes ETA 2892-2 automatic movement.
Sinn 1736 St I 4N is not big (36 mm case diameter) and feels nice on the wrist. It’s quite light (43 g), so you will barely notice it while wearing. On the photos you can see version with black leather strap, but there should be also other versions available. Moreover, I can predict that somebody will try to add NATOstrap here.
It’s good to see that Sinn keeps introducing new models in different areas, and Sinn 1736 St I 4N will find its own fans despite such complex name. 🙂 This design should be timeless and suitable in any situation, with any outfit. Now I hope that we will see bigger versions, so that fans of bigger sizes will be happy too.
