Calendar on your wrist
First of all, this watch has calendar function. Swiss watchmaker is very proud of this function, because it is slightly different here. Take a careful look and you will notice that there are numbered week on the dial. It’s a so-called “business calendar”, which should come handy for business people. I am quite surprised that Oris Calibre 113 has it without getting too busy with dial appearance. That’s definitely an advantage and I think future owners will appreciate it. Don’t be scared by several subdials, because another one will come handy too.
Yes, this is power reserve indicator. Watchmaker decided to emphasize it with striped texture, what adds visual interest to overall appearance. Moreover, it’s nice to see how those small black squares transform into curved red marks. As you can guess, red indicates small power reserve (appr. 36hours). Maximum mark on this subdial hints on the power reserve for this watch – 10 days! Here we can move to what’s hidden inside this beautiful case.
Oris Calibre 113 and its heart
Well, name says it all here – new in-house movement is designated as Calibre 113. Creators decided not to hide it behind caseback, and future owner will be able to admire mechanical beauty through transparent insert. Well, it isn’t completely new, but based on previous Calibre 110.
Authors decided to save 10 days power reserve, which should come handy for travelers. You might see on the photos that massive barrel, which helps with such impressive power consumption. Another useful function – crown control, which makes it easier to operate Oris Calibre 113 without any additional buttons.
Elegant tool
Well, watch might seem big (43mm, right?) but it is surprisingly snug on the wrist, and you don’t feel it as large puck on hand. Weight is in reasonable numbers, so you won’t feel swayed to one side. Moreover, overall design looks nice and should come handy in any occasion. Model should be already on available for purchase.
Moreover, you can choose out of different combinations. While case color (polished steel) stays the same, manufacturer lets you to play with indices color and strap types. Price will be set around 6000 USD, what looks like quite reasonable amount for such beauty, right?
