Last year we saw premiere of this watch, but 2017 introduced us to the new version – Eberhard Scafograf GMT. I guess, name says it all, and you can guess, which feature was added. It was available on recent Baselworld 2017, so we are ready to tell you few things.
By the way, here you can read review with another watch from Baselworld 2017.

Let’s drop all this marketing nonsense, and take a look at the real base for this watch. Yes, newcomer is based on last year Scafograf 300, and also holds its main ideas. It is still a diver watch, but new version is housed in 43mm case. Moreover, Eberhard installed here ceramic bidirectional bezel. This part should come handy for tracking second time zone. As for the colors, bezel can be either blue or black, so don’t expect any bright options. Nevertheless, I still hope that next year will bring us green Scafograf.
By the way, did you notice that number 300 disappeared from the name? Yes, new model is features slightly weaker water resistance, and now can be used only up to 100m. Main material here is steel, so it’s not different from the first offering. We were talking about colors before, and it’s also important to mention that there will be either orange or white hands, depending on the dial color.
As for the strap, here choice is quite simple, and buyer will get rubber option with nice clasp. Here we can also wonder if manufacturer will introduce us to metal offering… For now you have option to replace it by yourself or live with rubber.
New watch should be available immediately, and it’s definitely worth considering if you are searching for a decent diver watch. Yes, color options are limited, and there is only one choice for the strap, but it’s different from other offerings on the market. New Swiss watch can be viewed as a nice opportunity to get something unusual, yet typical. New Scafograf GMT is all about such opposites, and it’s good to see that manufacturer is trying to develop new versions of its fresh model.
