Finally I am back to this website, and straightaway we are going to talk about Davosa Ternos Automatic Blue Lagoon Limited Edition. Under such a long name you will find special version of the diver watch from Swiss brand. I don’t have any previous experience with timepieces from Davosa, so it will be interesting to check it closer in the video and article. By the way, model number – 161.554.40. Let’s start with traditional video-report and then we will continue with photos and impressions.
Here you can read review with another great watch.

Dial
Today’s watch main feature is the dial of course, as the name kind of hints on what to expect. Blue color suits nicely the overall styling, so if you are fan of this, then it will definitely catch you too. Dial has sunray finish which looks strange on official photos, but in real life it is way more sophisticated shade which plays nicely on bright light. By the way, size of this watch is 40mm, what puts it into this nice class of the everyday watches suitable for every wrist.

As for the writings, we have plenty of them here, and it would be cool to have less, at least in my opinion. The restricted look would suit this dial color and watch. Indices are classic for the diver watch, so they are easy to find and whole design is legible in any conditions. Note that 12″ mark is a triangle, while 9″ is a rectangle here. We also get the date window, but I was happy to see it in dial color, not in white or black. This is definitely something what shows attention to small neat features in the design of the watch.

Handset is quite large in the whole composition, but it also helps with legibility. Both indices and hands are covered with SuperLuminova BGW9, so there won’t be any issue in the dark either. I also like the fact that silver metal is used for hands and indices as it works great with the silver case. Whole styling only benefits because it stays classy without going into unnecessary gaudiness.

Case
Davosa Ternos Automatic Blue Lagoon Limited Edition is more of a classic diver, so stainless steel case is a must here. You also should be ready for the polished surfaces, as I bet those will be tricky to preserve in clean state. It looks great in person, but I am not sure on how this will stay pristine in real life. 😀 It goes without saying that overall finish of edges and even tiny curves is perfect, and I didn’t find any problem.

Case thickness is 12.5cm, so it doesn’t feel like small puck on your wrist. Nevertheless, weight is 164g, what I was surprised to learn as it was quite light in real life. As for the overall layout, there are no weird design cues, everything is limited to smooth shapes which you would imagine after hearing “diver watch”. Worth noting that caseback is solid and in my opinion it suits the whole style of the watch.

Crown protection is not too big, so it will be easy to unscrew the crown. Part itself also has manufacturer logo on it. I doubt that somebody will actually try to do serious diving with such watch, but water protection here equals to 200m. This number should be more than enough for everyday use, and you won’t have to worry about any issues.

Separate word should be said about bezel, as it features ceramic blue insert with large digits. This is a nice part in terms of quality and fitment. I didn’t find any free movement, and overall rotation is quite sturdy too. I also give sounds sample in the video as it also works fine to add to image of quality item, not something too simple with not adjusted clicks.

Movement
Solid caseback hides automatic movement DAV3021 which is based on ETA 2824. Power reserve is measured at 38 hours, what might sound as not too much, but should be enough for everyday use. You also get all classic features like date indication and separate seconds hand. Movement itself is quite silent and I didn’t have any issues with it, even in my other watches based in similar caliber.

Bracelet
Out of the box watch comes with metal bracelet. The whole thing is quite hefty and feels solid, not like some light accessories on other watches. In my opinion it suits the whole styling, and there is not that much of a point to exchange it for something different. Massive clasp bucket is finished with clean lines and Davosa logo.

Nevertheless, if you still want something else, for example blue rubber, then it should be also easy to find. The width is 20mm, so you get a wide choice of aftermarket rubber and silicone option, not to mention some textile products. It would be cool to have something in the box, but as I understood, there is nothing included, and you receive only one option.

Real Impressions
Before we go on with impressions, I would like to remind again that I was checking the commercial sample, so didn’t have a chance to go to a bit more demanding surroundings. Bracelet was also not shortened, what you might notice on the photos. Nevertheless, it didn’t stop me from checking how the case fits, and it does so nicely, thanks to the average size. Classic design comes as benefit here because you don’t get any weird curves, and it doesn’t catch sleeves or anything else.

As I mentioned already, I wasn’t sure about the dial color, but photos don’t do the justice – check it in real life. The color shade and sunray finish are just beautiful and definitely look special. I also like the overall finish quality as watch looks and feels expensive. Every part works and rotates just as you expect it to do, and I think this is really good point for such watch.

I might have minor complaints about styling, but this is more of my personal preferences. Less writings would be preferred so that you can appreciate more of the beautiful dial, but I guess there is not that much we can do. 🙂

As for the bracelet, I think it suits Blue Lagoon watch and might be a good pick for everyday use. You will definitely find a replacement if you would like to, but it can be worth trying and wearing the watch in full stock combo.
Davosa Ternos Automatic Blue Lagoon Limited Edition – Price and Availability
New watch comes as very special release, and therefore manufacturer will produce only 200 pieces worldwide. Price tag will be set at 1300 EUR, what is not that high of level for what you will get in this timepiece. If you like blue color and prefer rather classic silhouette, then it is definitely an options to consider.

Moreover, it is different from all those common choices out there, so there is a good chance to get a q-piece. It means the Blue Lagoon won’t be shouting outside about its specialty, but careful look will definitely reveal that there is something different about this watch. Just be careful with all those polished edges. 😀
Thank you for joining me today for this review, and I will see you in the next article soon.
