Reviving Classic
There is no arguing that such chrono appearance looks absolutely typical in a good sense. I would say that once somebody mentions Chrono watch – that’s what I draw in my mind. Classic round shape, three subdials, indices instead of numbers – all those make up nice watch. The only thing that might look unusual for pilot watch – bezel. Well, at least in my opinion pilot watch bezel should have some sophisticated ruler on this part. Instead Breitiling Chronoliner has 24hrs marks here. Well, maybe such design would come handy for some of future owners. While we talking about other time zone, it’s worth noting that new watch has GMT function indicated with help of separate thin hand. In other words you will be able to track three timezones with help of one watch.
Impressive Bezel
I would like to get back to bezel on this watch. This part is ceramic and therefore should be scratchproof. Moreover, note on the special recessions, which Swiss watchmaker names as star-shaped. I guess such design should be easy to grab and operate. We’ve already metnioned 24hrs scale, but there is also another extra feature. Bezel and dial will be available in two colors – blue and brown. Both are quite unusual shade-wise, and my guess is that photos still don’t transfer half of real appeal. I would rather wait for personal meeting in order to take some photos and share with you. 🙂
Swiss Precision
Of course, inside buyer will find Breitling Caliber 24. This movement is official COSC-certified and features 25 jewels. Don’t expect unusual water protection. 100m will be more than enough for such model, right? Breitling Chronoliner is born to fly, not to swim. 😉
New Classic
Even though pilot watch is more associated with Navitimer in my mind, Breitling Chronoliner looks like decent timepiece too. Moreover, I am happy to see Swiss company offering new color choices, which still look nice and calm. In my opinion, newcomer has all chances for success, so it’s matter of when it will be out on market.
