New preview is dedicated to the new Tag Heuer Autavia, which should be released in 2017 as it was promised last year. I hope you remember that final design was chosen with voting, and it’s possible to say that you decided how the new reissue would look like. All I can say, it should look good. Now we have first info and photos, which you can see here.

Tag Heuer Autavia continues good old traditions and actually returns old watch series to famous Swiss watchmaker lineup. There were 16 different voting options, but it seems that everybody wanted calm, classic look, and we have it now. At first sight you might say that it looks like typical chrono, but actually new model features the same design cues as in first models designed by Mr.Heuer. Moreover, case is a bit larger and measures 42mm (it was 39mm before). There are several dials inside and polished pushers for their activation. It’s important to mention that Tag Heuer Autavia will also feature new movement (with impressive 80 hours reserve), which was designed for this model only. Of course, all indexes and hands are covered with SuperLuminova, so you would see precise time during night.
Retro look should be enhanced with help of special leather strap. Nevertheless, buyers will also have a choice of metal band, even though there is no photo of such version. I hope we will see it in person in Basel.
Swiss watchmaker will also use “See now, Buy now” approach, so you don’t have to wait this model – it should be available immediately. Well, it took long wait, but now we have logical thing, which should come handy for those who would like to have new watches asap. Now let’s wait a bit for actual impression after we try out new watch in Basel.
