Sinn 240 St GZ Hands-On Baselworld 2017

Hi!
Here is another hands-on report, and this time we will tell you about new Sinn 240 St GZ, which was presented on Baselworld 2017. While other novelties from German manufacturer can be placed in opposite ends of styling – either truly practical or simply elegant, today’s watch can be positioned somewhere in the middle.

By the way, here you can read review with another Sinn watch.

First of all I have to say that on the exhibition we’ve had version with metal band, but you will be able to buy leather option as well. Nevertheless, I would recommend full metal type, because it looks complete and suits overall style. As for the style, you can see on the video and photos that German manufacturer decided to use their classic matte design, which looks great. Such finish was achieved by bead-blasting, so watch should be also scratch-resistant.

Main function here is tide bezel, which is installed inside watch. In other words, this is interior part, which is movable via special crown. Such tool should come handy for water sports enthusiasts, who would like to have something nice and stylish. Note that dial is finished in dark blue, what creates unusual combination with matte steel. Seconds hand is painted in bright orange, so that it can be easily found from the first sight.

Sinn 240 St GZ is waterproof and features sapphire glass with antiglare coating. Surprisingly, water resistance is only 10 bar, so if you need something more serious – check diver models from the same manufacturers. While I am not a watersports fan, and can’t even invent some use for tidal bezel, there is no doubt that such feature will be appreciated by those, who work or live in sea. Now it’s possible to get nice, clean German design with robust finish, all in one nice case, and I hope we would see other editions in the future.
