Hi! Here we have another small preview on the new model which will be presented in Basel. The newest Gents watch in the Obaku series plays with traditional shapes in this modern take on a classic watch. Designed by Lau Liengård Ruge the Obaku V193 is classic yet new with its dynamic sides that are created to attract the light. Take a careful look on the case shape, which looks classic yet special. Manufacturer calls it as a cut circle.
“Nowhere else have I seen a shape quite like this on a watch”, says Obaku brand director Henriette Arvin. As you might notice, designer took traditional circle as base for this project and cut its sides in order to achieve different look.

Дизайн выполнен Лау Руге, который наделил Obaku V193 классическим но в то же время динамичным обликом. Обратите внимание на форму корпуса, которая выглядит обычной, но всё не так просто на самом деле. Производитель называет её “обрезанным кругом”. “The curved surfaces found both on the watch body as well as on the more strict, almost instrumental watch face, adds depth and something extra to this piece”, says the designer Lau Liengård Ruge when asked to describe his newest watch creation.
The dial on Lau Liengård Ruge’s newest watch is unmistakably minimalist. The dial curves slightly to match the overall shape and look of the watch. Even the sub dials, which show the day and date, have a slight curve to them, adding to the complete impression of the entire watch. The hands are made slim and as long as possible, what complements the overall minimalist appeal.

“Изогнутые поверхности присутствуют не только в корпусе часов, но также и на строгом циферблате, что добавляет глубины и утончённости новинке”, заявляет дизайнер. Циферблат на его новом творении абсолютно минималистичный. Он немного изогнут, чтобы больше подходить под общий дизайн часов. Даже небольшие указатели, которые показывают дату и день, также имеют небольшой изгиб. Стрелки выполнены как можно более длинными и тонкими, что подкрепляет минималистичный вид.
