Breitling Avenger Hurricane Military Preview

Today’s preview is dedicated to the new chrono watch – Breitling Avenger Hurricane, which is released in “Military” edition. I guess army and military style will be the main topic on BaselWorld 2017. Ok, you don’t have to look to guess that main color in the new model is black. Case is finished in black, dial is painted in black and strap sides are black. Moreover, it’s produced out of Breightlight, which is patented and 3x lighter than titanium. Yeah, Swiss manufacturer even has special material with own name. Cool, right? 🙂 Overall size is 50mm, so I am bit confused how such watch would feel on wrist due to light weight. Let’s wait BaselWorld, we will try it there and tell you our first impressions. Of course, case is water-resistant up to 100m, so you can take it with you under water. Moreover, bezel is covered with antislip layer, which should make it easy to operate watch in gloves. Another notable feature – glareproof sapphire glass from both sides, so that you can appreciate Breitling Caliber B12, which powers new Breitling Avenger Hurricane Military.

By the way, note that dial is 24-hour, what is not that common among chronos. Even though all marks and numbers are covered with luminous material, you can notice that manufacturer finished them with light yellow patina in order to replicate the same shade on classic timepieces produced in previous century. Breitling Avenger still should be easy to read and know precise time, but I doubt that somebody will use it in extreme conditions strictly as time-tool.
